Private training session is available for busy people with dogs who have never attended training before, have some behavioural issues (barking, digging, etc) or who just want to refresh their dogs' training. Some dogs may also be unsuitable for group training classes due to fear or anti-social behaviour and require a private 1-on-1 training. Some dogs may also need in-home training and counselling to help them with certain problems before entering a group class.

The first session would last for 2 hours and the instructor will observe your dog's behaviour and ask a lot of questions regarding your dog's history. This is important because a behavioural issue, such as barking, can be caused by a lot of things and we need to find out the exact reason before we can work out how to solve it. To find out the reason, we need to know when the behaviour usually happen (when your dog is alone? All the time? At night or during the day only? When someone is at the door?), what situation or where your dog is in when this happen (in the backyard? Inside? Can he see outside the window? Can he see people or dogs walking past in front of the house?) and so on.

At the end of the first session, we will give you a management and training plan for you to implement. A follow up session might be needed if the issue has escalated or your dog does not respond well to the training.

COST

The first session of private training is 2 hours and it costs $150 (payable upfront). Subsequent session costs $85/hour. If you live more than 15km away from Leichhardt, NSW 2040, there would be an additional travel fee of 50c/km.

CANCELLATION OF APPOINTMENT

The $150 fee for the first session needs to be paid in full to secure the appointment.

* Appointment cancelled more than 24 hours prior to agreed time - 100% of fee refunded.

* Appointment cancelled between 6 to 24 hours prior to agreed time - $25 cancellation fee applies.

* Appointment cancelled less than 6 hours prior to agreed time - $50 cancellation fee applies.

Please note: Pawfect Pooch does not take severe aggression or anxiety cases. if your dog has severe aggression or anxiety problems, please feel free to contact us and we will refer you to another trainer or Veterinary Behaviourist.
